The stores Links Directory has been updated so if it is set to Not Active no one can add links, rate existing links, search for links, review existing Links.
In other words the Links directory can be 100% disabled if you should choose to do so.
If your not using it i suggest you do go in the control section of the links directory and set it to not active, this will prevent spammers from adding links and reviews etc to the directory if it's not being used., which has become an issue.
It has been seen that even if the directory is not used spammers are using it to add links and direct linking to the results.
